CBD oil and Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia (FM) is a medical condition characterised by chronic widespread pain and a heightened pain response to pressure. Other symptoms include tiredness to a degree that normal activities are affected. Sleep problems and memory trouble are also problematic. Some people also report restless leg syndrome, bowel or bladder problem, numbness and tingling sensitivity to noise, lights or temperature. Fibromyalgia is frequently associated with depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder. Other types of chronic pain are frequently present.

The treatment of fibromyalgia can be difficult. Recommendations often include getting enough sleep, exercising regularly and eating a healthy diet. Cognitive behavioral therapy may also be helpful.

In the UK it is estimated that 1 in 20 people are affected by fibromyalgia.

Woman are affected about twice as often as men.

If prescribed medications do not seem to be working there is another option one may find beneficial.

CBD oil

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring constituent of industrial hemp/cannabis.

It is the most abundant non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis and is being scientifically investigated for various reasons.

There has been a lot of hype about CBD oil recently with many people offering testimonial about its many benefits relating to many conditions and illnesses.

From You tube testimonials to news coverage CBD oil certainly seems to be having a positive impact on peoples health. From helping to reverse cancer (tumor), reducing anxiety and helping people control physical pain.

What about fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia patients report a variety of symptoms that are often treated with CBD oil.

Fibromyalgia patients report that it helps greatly with chronic pain, sleep, endurance, anxiety, depression, inflammation, muscle spasm, overall mental health and well-being, mood, and much more.

Some say that CBD oil may have done nothing for them. But some CBD oils have very little cannabinoids due to their price and quality. Our body naturally have cannabinoid receptors within. CBD oil works well with our body for this reason. So making sure you put a high price on your health should be worth the price of quality.  A good quality CBD oil may be just the answer.

The bottom line is that one has nothing to lose but a whole lot to gain if CBD actually works for them personally.

As always consult a doctor about any concerns before using CBD oil and any conflicting medications that they might already be taking. CBD oil is natural and has very mild reported side effects if any. But everyone is different. CBD being natural should pose no danger whatsoever.

Let me know in the comments if you should decide to use CBD oil for fibromyalgia. I am always willing to learn from feedback.

So long
